let's compare the Target Bullseye footrest to the popular "As Seen On TV" Squatty Potty. Keep in mind that the Squatty Potty comes in various models and heights, so I'll be making some general comparisons based on the original and most common versions. Target Bullseye Footrest for the Toilet: * Price: Typically very inexpensive, around $5 (found in Bullseye's Playground). * Material: Simple plastic (usually Polypropylene). * Design: A basic, single, contoured step designed to elevate your feet. It's low-profile and meant to fit around the toilet base. * Height: Usually around 7 inches. * Features: Primarily focuses on elevating the feet to mimic a squatting position for potentially easier bowel movements. Easy to clean. * Storage: Designed to tuck under the toilet bowl when not in use. * Durability: Decent for the price, but might not be as robust as more expensive options. * Aesthetics: Very basic and functional, not particularly stylish. Squatty Potty (Original 7-inch Model): * Price: Significantly more expensive, typically ranging from $25-$30. * Material: Often made of durable plastic, but some models come in wood or bamboo. * Design: A U-shaped design that fits around the base of the toilet, allowing it to be easily stored when not in use. It's specifically engineered to provide a more pronounced elevation of the feet. Some models have textured surfaces for grip. * Height: The original is 7 inches, but they also offer a 9-inch version for taller toilets or individuals. * Features: Designed to elevate the feet to a more optimal 35-degree angle, which proponents claim helps to relax the puborectalis muscle for easier and more complete elimination. Marketed for potential relief from constipation, bloating, and hemorrhoids. * Storage: Designed to tuck neatly around the base of the toilet. Some models are foldable for more compact storage. * Durability: Generally considered durable and built to last. * Aesthetics: While still functional, some Squatty Potty models come in different colors or materials (like bamboo) for a slightly more appealing look. Here's a table summarizing the key differences: | Feature | Target Bullseye Footrest | Squatty Potty (Original) | |---|---|---| | Price | Very Inexpensive ($5) | More Expensive ($25-$30) | | Material | Simple Plastic | Durable Plastic, Wood, or Bamboo | | Design | Basic, Contoured Step | U-Shaped, More Ergonomic Focus | | Height | ~7 inches | 7 inches (also 9-inch options) | | Elevation Angle | Less pronounced | Designed for a ~35-degree angle | | Claimed Benefits | Improved posture for easier BM | Enhanced elimination, potential health benefits | | Storage | Tucks under toilet | Tucks under toilet, some fold | | Durability | Good for the price | Generally very durable | | Aesthetics | Basic, Functional | Slightly more options, some stylish | | Availability | Target stores/online | Primarily online, some retailers | Which one is right for you depends on your needs and budget: * Choose the Target Bullseye footrest if: You want a very affordable option to try out the benefits of elevating your feet while using the toilet. You're not concerned about specific angles or extra features. * Choose the Squatty Potty if: You're looking for a more specifically designed and potentially more effective tool for improving your toileting experience. You're willing to invest more for potentially greater comfort and health benefits. You might also prefer the U-shaped design for storage or want more material/style options. Ultimately, both aim to achieve a similar goal – improving your posture on the toilet – but they do so with different designs, materials, features, and price points. Targets the best bang for your buck!

It worked fine for my older child, but it was very wobbly if you didn’t stand on it just right. I had to remove it from the bathroom after watching my toddlers trying to use it and cause it to almost tip every time time they went to get on or off the toilet.
Works well for a half bathroom...

Purchased to use in a half bathroom. I wanted a cheaper and smaller version of the squatty potty. Used it multiple times already and it works well for my needs.

This is just as good as the $25 Squatty Potty. Some of these reviews are confusing because some people fail to realize it’s not a step stool, it’s a “foot rest” for when you’re using the toilet.

This is a great alternative to the squatty potty, and it comes together easily. However, it isn’t a step stool and can only support so much weight since it is only meant to be a foot rest while you are on the toilet.

Dislike this step. The step is not Stable and Hurts the child. When they step up on it, edit flip's. In the child falls onto the toilet and hurt themselves.
Just as good as the name brand one
