Q: Which are the best light bulbs for this lamp?
A: With two 75W incandescent bulbs the lamp hums when the dimmer switch is turned to half way and not all when fully lit. With two 60W incandescent bulbs there is no humming at all for any light level.
submitted byR - 8 years agoA: I just bought 2 more of these lamps. I used Home Depot EcoSmart bulbs in both and they work properly, meaning a low to high brightness no flickering.
submitted byChongLi - 1 year agoA: Not sure why the package says you can use CFL bulbs, since the one I purchased has a dimmer, and you can't use a dimmer with CFL bulbs. I think the non-California package is mislabeled.

submitted byJZ - 6 years agoA: Due to this lamp is with dimmer switch, better to use normal incandescent bulbs or dimmer LED bulbs. CFL bulbs may fliker with the dimmer switch on the lower light settings.
submitted byEmily - 8 years agoA: Google for the win! You're looking for a medium screw base: E26 (American) or E27 (European). The two are interchangeable. Any A bulb will work. I'm ordering A19, dimmable--hopefully for the win.

submitted byPaula C - 6 years agoA: If you want to use CFL bulbs, buy dimmable ones (which do exist). I think this is the problem that all the bad reviewers are having... they may be using non-dimmable CFL bulbs.

Q: Does the light come with light bulbs? Or do you need to purchase bulbs separately?
A: So, we have two answers from Target Team Members. One says it comes with 1 bulb and one says it comes with 2 bulbs because it has 2 sockets. The description says the lamp has only 1 socket. So, one of the two Target reps is wrong. Frustrating!

submitted byPhilip - 7 years agoTarget staff supportA: Please check if you purchase the lamp only or lamp with bulbs, there are two options on Target.com. And if you purchase lamp with bulbs, it will come with 2 LED light bulbs because the lamp has dual socket.

Q: Is this "silver" the same finish as the brushed nickel of the mother daughter model that Threshold makes? I'd like to have this as a companion piece.

Q: The verbiage is confussing...I can use 2 (150w each) bulbs in each socket OR I can only use 2 (75w each) to equal 150w MAX between both sockets for the lamp so it doesn't catch on fire? Thanks.
