Description
This Torchiere lamp with integrated flexible Task Light Floor Lamp from Room Essentials™ can be placed near an armchair, bedside or desk. It features an upward-facing white bowl shade that's attached to the metal stand with a pedestal base, and it comes with a fully adjustable reading light so that the light can be positioned where it's most needed. The upward-facing light has a three-way rotary switch lets you switch to three different brightnesses. The lamp uses a 3-Way bulb with 150-Watt maximum standard bulb or equivalent. The Adjustable reading light has a convenient on/off switch and can use 40-Watt maximum standard bulb or equivalent. The light bulbs are not included. Turn the rotary switch clockwise to easily turn the light on and off.

I know it’s cheap, but it’s managed to fail all expectations. The connection between the pole and the base is too small and I have to prop something heavy against the pole so it doesn’t fall over. The three-way function also doesn’t work. Don’t waste your money.

These turned out to be really great the second light fixture on the bottom you can move that one according to where you want the spotlight to be it’s perfect for that dark room go according to what kind of lightning you’re looking to have you can have a highlight on the top and on the movable bottom, one a soft lightthey were great definitely recommend

On the bright side (no pun intended), this is the last time I plan to give Target any of my money anyway. I had very low expectations of a $15 lamp, yet this piece of garbage still failed to meet them. Poorly made from cheap materials. The threading to screw the sections together is terrible and strips incredibly easily. Good luck getting all the sections to screw all the way in. Obviously designed with dorm living in mind with the horrible expectation that it will be tossed in the dumpster on moving day. I'd return it in a heartbeat if it wouldn't cost me more to do so.

Don't buy this lamp. Where do I begin with the issues? First, the threads on the pole are terrible—they don't align, which makes it extremely difficult to assemble. Once you do manage to put it together, it's not sturdy and stands crooked. The base arrived scuffed and dirty, as if someone had already used it and returned it (as I will be doing). The lampshades are incredibly flimsy. Honestly, for $15, I might have said, "Well, I get what I paid for." BUT when I went to install the task light bulb, I discovered there were no threads in the socket (see picture). Calling this a garbage lamp is an understatement.

The price was the first thing I noticed with this lamp. It’s not too expensive and I love that the send lamp is moveable; makes it easy when my kiddo is sitting at the work table doing homework. I’m not a fan of overhead lighting, so finding a nice and reliable (and cost effective!) lighting situation is important to me. I would definitely recommend getting this!

I put the lamp together and walked out of the room to go get a light bulb. While I was out, my kids knocked the lamp over onto the floor once and now the threads won't hold (one of the cylinders split up on impact). Seems like a floor lamp should stand up to being knocked over once. I never even got to turn on the lamp.

These are cheapest with good quality. My oldest room essential lamp lasted 15 years. I have bought this as replacement. I have bought 3 for other rooms. This one has two lights.

I've bought this item twice and each time the threading doesn't hold in the middle so it leans over. At first I thought it was me but, after trying a second one, there is definitely a design flaw. But in all fairness, the first one I bought has lasted nearly 10 years all while leaning.

The lamp was on sale, so I bought one for my daughter's room. Even though it wasn't exepnsive, it doesn't have a cheap look and lit the room so well that I ordrered a second lamp for my bedroom. I opted for the less expensive option and purchased my own bulbs.

Provides a good amount of light to a 12x10 area of our study. We use the upward light and add the lower light only when necessary. I purchased the gold tone to match the array of wood tones against white walls and ceiling. The lower light adds a softer appeal because of its curves and ability to bend how you wish. Doesn’t look cheap, even though it’s a very inexpensive piece. Would definitely buy again.

3-way bulbs are expensive and unnecessary, and it’s not very safe to use regular bulbs in this lamp. You’re better off just getting a regular lamp and some smart bulbs or a lamp with a dimmer and dimmable bulbs. When used with normal bulbs, the 3 way switch is a hassle.
