I put off buying these press up bars for a couple years, due some of the lower-star reviews. In fact, I had bought the tricep dip bars separately because of those reviews. I finally decided to give them a try for myself, and now I wish I had bought them sooner. I keep them in place at the squat board end of my Fusion model. They are stable enough for the press-ups I do. Do the wing attachments that came with my Gym work for press ups? Yes. Are they as convenient? No. Transitioning to different exercises is smoother with the press up bars already in place. I was worried that leaving them in place could be a tripping hazard , but that has never actually been an issue. These are worth budgeting for, and I would definitely recommend the set of press bars/tricep bars, if you don’t have either one.

I leave these on the bottom

These also work great for pull ups. I almost always leave them on the bottom, I only put the squat stands on when I use them. These handles are low profile and in addition to press ups, I can put my feet on them when needed.
A necessary addition to the collection

The fit is loose, but this works great. You can use it for pull ups too if you want.

This allows a full range of motion with inverted presses without a bar crossing the center restricting that range of motion. Allows better form in the exercise motion that results in better muscle isolation and greater core stsbility.

These bars are a little flimsy. I usually grip them closer to the middle for fear of bending them.
Great addition

I find this attachment very useful and have enjoyed using it to build upper body strength. As usual the quality is great and I'm sure ill be able to use these for years. Great addition to my total gym. I just wish chuck norris came with it.
Great addition for a more efficient workout.

Excellent accessory. The standard wing attachment is ok but the angle at which it's canted makes it awkward to mount and dismount the slide board before and after performing your repetitions. The press up bars, at almost a 90 degree angle makes that easier, in my opinion. Also, once attached, it can remain so because it doesn't interfere with anything, including the squat stand. Also works the deltoids very well.

I thank God for providing me with the resources to purchase the Push Up Bars for my XLS. I don't really use it a lot, because I use my 1-piece Wing Bar Attachment. This attachment can be placed at the top of the glide board (facing the tower) or at the bottom of the glide board ((inverted position). In 2020, I purchased my XLS and the sales rep recommended that I purchase the Press Up Bars & Dip Bars because they were at a great price and it was needed. However, my XLS came with the 1-piece Wing Attachment, which allowed me to do leg curls, pull ups and chin ups. In hindsight, the separate Press Up Bars are not really needed.

Excellent addition to Total Gym. Made it easier where you can leave them attached and not have to remove to perform other exercises. Highly recommend.

its okay. A bit flimsy, but strong enough. If it wasnt wobbly it would put pressure on the bottom of my total gym xl board. So thats fine. But would of been better at an angle. I bought this one since another unit was sold out. But it also does nice lat pulls. handles spin around a lot though. Maybe gkue it down.
