A: The TP-Link RE215 Wi-Fi Range Extender does not require wired/Ethernet connectivity to your router. You can wirelessly connect to your existing Wi-Fi router if installed in a location where your router's Wi-Fi signal is sufficiently stable. However, you also have the option to connect it to your router via Ethernet if you wish to use it in Access Point Mode.
