Description
The Traitor Tots party game for adults and families is the hot potato card game of betrayal and sabotage! In this light strategy card game, players pass a Hot Potato, try to avoid its BOOM card, and get the most Chips to win. Take turns playing Action cards to steal Chips, switch teams, pass the Hot Potato, and more. Whenever someone plays a Nuke card, the player with the Hot Potato draws its bottom card. If they reveal the BOOM card, everyone on their team loses the round and anyone on the other team scores Chips. The player with the most Chips at the end of 3 rounds wins! My youngest (7) was frustrated with the constant team switching (because she always wanted to be on my team!) I wouldn’t recommend this game for highly competitive people because feelings will get hurt 😆

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the game from the moment I opened the shipping box. Everything about the game is produced in high quality for durable game play. The cards are thick to prevent bending and slick to make them a bit water repellent. The game concept is much like other card strategy games that have been popular in recent years. Rated appropriate for 8+, the fries vs tots theme and “ketchup” bonus that’s on random cards seems to be targeted toward the 8-10 year-old or more sensitive players who may not be ready for the themes of similar strategy games.

I love that the game included the little “potato sack” to hold the chips. Such a cute idea. So far we have only played it as a family of 3 but I think it would be even more fun with more players. It was a little difficult in the beginning but we caught on quick. A great new addition to anyone’s family game night!

I think that will help them last longer even when used by smaller hands. The potato sack for the chips is such a great, on brand storage use too! The game itself is a little jumbled to start but by round three we had it figured out. I think it would have been cool to have more hot potato cards since it’s such a quick play, but I also like that it’s a quick play. Sometimes family game night doesn’t have to span HOURS, and end with everyone exhausted in their feelings. The rules were easy to follow and the cards pretty self explanatory too. Overall this is a great game for little and big kids. I like having it in my collection and I know we’ll reach for it often!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love discovering new games that can be played by small groups (3 players) as well as bigger groups (in this case, 10 players). Traitor Tots from Hasbro is our new game night favorite. It’s easy to set up, easy to understand, and ridiculously fun to play. There are at least a dozen different action cards, with some bonus cards and a “ketchup” feature that allows everyone to be relatively close score-wise until someone pulls the BOOM card that ends each round. Three rounds can be played in less than 30 minutes, and all of our players caught onto the object of the game quickly. This game is great for all ages. My kids loved it and a group of adults would surely have fun playing this too. Traitor Tots rocks!

We played so many times since we first got it! It’s definitely a way better version of hot potato. The one with the most chips wins. My family had so much fun making each other switch teams. Another small issue I have with this game is the amount of people needed to play, it's really only two people in my household and this game needs at least 4 or more players from my understanding

At first, the directions were slightly unclear, but when we started playing, the sabotage was really fun. The kids also loved how the tot looked, so visually this is a capturing game, for any age.
