Q: Does this adaptor work for Apple laptops in Italy? I see comments about iPhones, but was curious about laptops too. Thanks!
A: Only as a plug adapter but not voltage converter
submitted byvr - 7 years agoA: It is my understanding that all contemporary macs are dual voltage, but you should check with Apple. This converter does not convert the voltage, it just makes the plug fit.
submitted byTraveler - 7 years agoA: I have a 2009 MacBook Pro. The charger specifies input of 100-240 volt. Check the small print on your laptop charger. It should have the same specifications. (If not, check with Apple, but I'd be very surprised if the specs aren't the same.) Regardless, you'll need an adapter to plug in the charger anywhere in Europe.

submitted byvr - 8 years agoA: Yes, these plugs are used in India, however, there are other plugs that can be used in India . . . the round prong plug (which is the 3 pk Continental Adapter Plugs listed above and the 3-prong UK plug. We suggest contacting the hotel that you will be staying at to confirm the adapter plug shape that will be needed.

submitted byvr - 8 years agoA: It works unless your device requires a grounded outlet. None of our devices (ipad, iphone, camera charger) did so this worked fine. Most modern devices are dual current so they don't need a current converter. This is just an adapter that changes the plug but doesn't convert the current. Hope this helps.
