This is extremely well built, with a solid metal case and beefy cord. I purchased it to use with my radio equipment, to protect it and also to hopefully isolate each radio from RFI.
I would buy this product again.

I have several high-end audio components, and I would only use TrippLite's products to protect them from power dips and surges. Electricity can add a lot of noise and distortion into the audio feed, and these surge protectors pretty much eliminate that. (But don't use the same circuit if you have a light dimmer installed. That can cause a lot of noise.)

Very nice surge protector. I'm a big TrippLite fan and this does not disappoint. Their Isobars are a little pricey but this is some of the best protection you can get.

I've have several Isobar surge protectors and never had a problem with them. They are well built and I like the addition of USB ports on this one. I've tried to centralize all the tool batteries and charging devices around the house into one place and this has helped a great deal to get everything organized and protected.

I'm not an electrical engineer so I can't speak about the more technical aspects but I trust the company's description is accurate. I looked at several options for replacing a cheaper unit that had a much lower Joules rating. The Tripp-Lite unit is heavy and looks well built. It's not the cheapest option but I would rather error on the side of safety with my entertainment system.
I would recommend this surge protector.

It is the best surge protector ever. especially on a thunderstorm when you want to watch tv you have to turn your tv off because the lightening can burn your tv. The only surge protector I can say I ever had an actual fondness for was the 6-outlet Isobar that came with my first desktop computer, way back in 1992. I mean, I was a young kid then, but my family had actually had a modem destroyed from a power surge just a few weeks previously, so I was excited by the idea that this beast would stop that from happening again. And well, here I am 29 years later, and I can confirm I never lost another modem! Of course, I have not had a modem for about 15 years either, but I still love these bad bricks for the job they do so well.

I am using it to protect a video camera. I am a huge Tripp-Lite fan. I like the sturdy case and the construction. Ways to improve it = mark the USB ports better.

The Isobar 6-Outlet USB Surge Protector is a wise choice for protecting sensitive electronic equipment. What makes this stand above other products is the 10 foot right-angle power cable. Most other devices have 6 or 8 foot cables, some available only at higher cost. While 6 foot cable may be adequate for home solutions, the 10 foot cable works better and is more cost-effective for live sound reinforcement for gigging musicians. The extra cable allows for lengthier reaches across stages without the need for additional extension cords prior to the Isobar. The USB ports also allows for powering connections to mobile devices if these were required. The 6 outlets provides power to additional devices, though for my application, only 2 or 3 outlets might be required. The TrippLite lifetime guarantee is also what drew me in; the guarantee is reassurance that if the TrippLite were ever to fail and my gear be compromised, TrippLite has my back. All things considered, the TrippLite Isobar 6-Outlet USB 10 ft. Cord / Rt-Angle Plug 3840 Joule is a great and more cost-effective product that is a better alternative to less or more expensive surge protector devices.
