The Tripp Lite® by Eaton® P137-06N-HDV Mini DisplayPort™ to VGA/DVI/HDMI Adapter allows you to convert your computer's mini DisplayPort™ (Thunderbolt®) to a VGA, DVI, or HDMI® monitor as an all-in-one, compact adapter. This passive, plug-and-play adapter requires no external power, drivers, or software, and supports video resolutions up to 1920 x 1200, or HD video resolutions up to 1920 x 1080 (1080p). It is compatible with Thunderbolt® 1 and 2 on Mac® computers such as MacBook Pro® and MacBook Air®, and is compliant with the Federal Trade Agreements Act (TAA) for GSA Schedule purchases. Please note it is not for use with MST Hubs and requires the connected computer to have a DP++ ( DisplayPort ++ ) port._

Connects my Surface to a much larger monitor. Work provided a surface, which is super functional. Except the screen is small and my eyes get tired trying to focus all day. Setting up a home office meant I could get a larger monitor and use the DisplayPort to connect my surface to the monitor. Small/portable, easy to connect and flexible.

Bought this with the intentions on connecting two monitors using the dvi AND vga to my surface pro. Did not work! This will only pick up one or the other.
