I was 2 years old when this movie originally came out. So when I finally did see it a few years later it was on full screen VHS. I loved it as a kid but didn't really understand it. Many years later I saw it again on DVD and it honestly didn't look that much better. But the idea of the film was becoming more clear. Now that it's on Blu Ray, WOW!!!! Looks clearer than ever. Not only in HD upgrade but for some reason seems more understandable. Maybe because it looks so great that it really sucks you in. The colors really stand out better than I've ever seen. Obviously the CGI is ancient compared to TRON: Legacy, but on Blu Ray you understand why it should look like that for a film from 1982. It was really groundbreaking at the time. Just a beautiful movie. If you're a sci-fi or cyber punk fan you must own this!!
