A: With vaginal deliveries, unfortunately it is common for moms to experience swelling, pain and soreness in the vaginal and rectal area after delivery. It can take several weeks before the patient is fully recovered. Proper cleaning and care is important to help relieve perineal discomfort and also aides in healing and preventing infection. Tucks Pads can help. The witch hazel formula protects the skin and cools irritated areas. The pads are also pH balanced, hypo-allergenic and dye free to gently clean the sensitive area.

Q: Does this product include lidocaine? There is a photo that lists witch hazel as the active ingredient, but in details it says witch hazel and lidocaine.

A: Our Tucks Medicated Hemorrhoidal Pads 100ct include witch hazel and not lidocaine. Our Tucks Multi-Care Relief Kit includes a 0.5oz Cream which has 5% lidocaine + 40ct Tucks Pads (the Pads are with witch hazel).

I really appreciate that the pads come in a hard, re-sealable container, it's perfect for traveling and you don't have to worry about liquid leaking or the pads drying out over time. The pads themselves are thin but do not break when in use and contain a good amount of the witch hazel to help provide relief. These cooling pads do exactly that, cool your problem area to help you feel relief and refreshed!

After labor I used this for my recovery. Tears & hemorrhoids. These are much softer than the target brand! I’d pay the extra for their moistness and softness during that recovery time! I cleaned with this and used caster oil to heal the hemorrhoids, which works miracles!

They don't have a super strong or unpleasant scent, there are lots of them in the package, and they're nice and thin. Sometimes I found that these would shift around when placing them for childbirth aftercare. I only gave 3 stars because I personally had another brand I preferred over Tuck's
