If you prefer a full size bed, you'll need a standard full size mattress. Our trundle bed is twin size, so any standard twin size mattress will fit. You will indeed need to purchase two mattresses—one for the daybed and one for the trundle bed underneath.Additionally, we recommend mattresses thickness of 6 inches for the daybed and trundle bed.
