About the Book
Dogs Are Amazing! Harry needed a home and found one full of love, play, snuggles and tummy rubs.
Book Synopsis
Everyone has been touched by a unique pup at some point in their lives. Ever since Charlie joined their family...it was obvious he needed a friend. One day in the middle of summer the whole family agreed it was time to find him a pal. They called the person they adopted Charlie from and discovered that Charlie's brother, Harry, was in desperate need of a loving home.
Based on a true story of actual events, discover how Harry found an unexpected home with loving kids and days filled with hugs, snuggles and brotherly love.
"Sooo sweet and well done! I really enjoyed reading it, especially knowing your family and the impact Harry and Charlie have had on you and vice versa. The illustrations are so cute and really convey the joy of the story." Deb B. Retired lifelong teacher and Principal

As important as this story is for small children to read, I believe it is equally important for adults who might be considering adopting a dog (or two!). It is engaging to read and the illustrations provide hours of fun. Every time I read it, I discover new gems hidden in the pages. I think if animal rescue places could make this book available, their adoption rates would double.

A Tale Told with Grace and Humor

TWO GOOFY DOGS, written by Denver Morford, illustrated by Friederike Ablang, is a tale told with grace and humor. A picture book not only for children, this is a lovely read for adults, also, as Harry and Charlie become, more than companion animals, truly part of a family which, sadly, they'd been denied in their early lives. The dogs' new family is patient and dedicated to giving them the love they deserve. (Tips for successfully bringing rescue dogs into a home are shared at story's end.)
A joy to read aloud, the text inspires the tapping of toes. Rhymes feel natural. The story is engaging; it moves nicely. The length is perfect.
The artwork is expressive and fun. Look for surprises on each page-a cat, a snail, mysterious eyes, a long-eared bunny with stripes. Chickens!
There is much to love about Denver Morford's wonderful TWO GOOFY DOGS. Highly recommended.
