We love this ingredient because it feels great on the skin, is long-lasting, and doesn't have the tackiness or funky aroma that you get with animal-sourced lanolin. It's sourced from shea and olive oil unsaponifiables (a compound that is an excellent emollient and is rich in squalene and phytosterols). Plus, it has been shown to be about twice as effective in terms of water retention when compared to animal-sourced lanolin.It this non-comedogenic?
The vegan lanoin we use is made from shea butter and olive oil unsaponifiables (a compound that is an excellent emollient and is rich in squalene and phytosterols). Both shea butter and olive oil unsaponifiables are rated low on the comedogeic scale. That said, we would not recommended this product on the face for anyone with acne-prone skin.
