Q: How long will these markers last after opened?
A: Hi Sue, thank you for your question. Our POSCA paint markers can last several months to a few years after opened, depending on how they are stored and how frequently they are being used. Storing the paint markers with an unsecured cap may result in the markers drying out faster. It is always recommended to keep the paint markers stored in a cool, dry place when not in use.

Q: How long will the pens last?
A: Hello, POSCA paint markers are permanent on porous surfaces like wood, fabric, paper, cardboard, and stone. Once dry, the paint bonds to the surface and is resistant to fading and wear. The longevity depends on factors like exposure to sunlight, moisture, and friction. For non-porous surfaces such as windows and mirrors, our POSCA markers can be removed with a damp cloth or cleaning agent.

Q: Will they erase if I use them on a whiteboard or chalkboard?
A: Hi Imarshy, thank you for your question. uni POSCA markers are removable on non-porous surfaces and permanent on porous surfaces. You may be able to remove the paint from a dry-erase board with a damp cloth or other cleaning agent. However, if left for an extended period of time, it may leave some residue such as staining. We always suggest testing a small area first to ensure it removes to your satisfaction. Since these markers are permanent on porous surfaces, we do not recommend using them on chalkboards if you will need to remove the paint later. I hope this answers your question, thank you!

Q: Can you use them to decorate ceramics? If so do I need to bake the ceramics afterwards?
A: Hi Alyssa, thank you for your inquiry. Yes, you can use uni POSCA markers to decorate ceramics. First, clean the surface with a cloth and ensure it is dry before starting work. Once completely dry, you can fix it. With treated ceramics, you can fix your creation for (non-food use) using a water-based spray varnish, spraying from about 30 cm in small circular movements. With rough ceramics, fire your creation in the oven by heating the ceramic in the oven slowly to 220°, then turning off the oven and allowing it to cool completely before taking it out. For porcelain, fix the paint in the same way, but to a temperature of 160° and for no more than 45 minutes. To give your creation the longest possible life (for non-food use), you can apply a water-based varnish or adhesive varnish. Afterwards, wash only in cold water. I hope this answers your question and good luck with your project!
