The barrette itself is attractive and effective, although too expensive for what it is. And it came in literally three layers of plastic packaging. Why, Target?

This barrette is also not worth its price. The lower attaching portion is the bad kind, with a central metal tabbed prong that can easily fall out (as opposed to barrettes that come from France, where the part that surrounds one's hair is all ONE piece). While not quite as cheesy-looking as a set of three flowered barrettes that I had also ordered (and will be returning), I will not be keeping this one either; I had tried to cancel this order within about two hours, but with no luck. I've been waiting and waiting for it and the other two barrette items I'd ordered with it to FINALLY show up, so I can take them 17 miles to the nearest Target store and return everything. Very disappointing.
