You can also reduce or remove creasing by rolling the rug, pattern side up, and massaging the creases with your hands. The backing will loosen to help the rug lay flat. For the stubborn creases, flip the rug over and place a damp towel over the crease. Use the synthetic setting, and iron the damp towel; this should remove the crease.

A: Is it a soft rug or rough?
submitted byMon - 4 months agoA: HI. For our Unique Loom Solid Shag area rugs, we recommend spot cleaning with Resolve or other spot treatment cleaners and vacuuming regularly. Do not use the vacuums with a beater bar as this will cause damage. The rug needs to be suction-only or take it outside and shake it out. You can use a carpet cleaner, commonly known as a shampooer, but he rug should be dried immediately and evenly.

A: Hi Kelly. The backing of the Unique Loom Solid Shag Area Rug is a a cotton/jute blend. We do recommend purchasing a non-slip pad if the rug is going on a hard surface flooring.

Good rug for the price. I first purchased a similar rug from Home Depot but the quality was poor and it had a heavy chemical smell that wouldn’t go away even after a few months. The Rugs.com rug I purchased was of a much better quality and cost $30 less!!
