This is the only roast I will cook, it is SO delicious. I think the people saying it’s too tough just aren’t cooking it properly ? I use a heavy Dutch oven with beef stock and flip once … cook at about 330 for 4-6 hours. Sear all sides of course before roasting, throw whatever veggies you’d like in about one hour before carving , and the stock will make a delicious gravy ! This really is a very simple delicious roast . Also the left overs are to die for , had them with some egg noodles and gravy … boom another delicious meal !

This was not actually a chuck roast- clearly was a different cut of meat when I took it out of the packaging. Slow cooked it for 7 hours and it was tough, full of gristle, and pretty much inedible. First and last time buying meat from target.

Slow cooked this for over 8 hours, fatty and still didn’t tear apart. Now hubs and I aren’t feel well at all after consuming it.
First no produce and now no meat. The quality of products being selected for Drive up customers is really poor.

This item bled all over my car. I’m guessing the clerk didn’t notice the mess but I can’t imagine why not. It was only wrapped in a single Target bag.

Fall off the fork tender perfection. First time attempting a roast and it was amazing. (I don’t cook — so if I can do it, anyone can.) A lot has to do with how you prepare it. Completely clueless about how to cook it, I pulled a few different basic tips together from what I looked up very briefly. 1) Rub down with salt out of fridge and let stand at room temp an hour 2) Pan sear each side for about 2-3 min. until brown (I’ll use olive oil next time, I used cooking spray) 3) Put 1 container of Fire & Kettle beef bone broth (about 2 cups) in roasting pan (I threw in some baby carrots & celery sticks), cover, put in oven at 275 degrees for about 4+ hours. Used bone broth / juice as the gravy. Flipped over carefully mid-way through to submerge other half. Used fork to test, if not fork tender, check again in 30min. — so happy with results. Enjoy!

I used to buy great roasts and steaks at Target. Now they only carry their house brand, Good & Gather, and it's inferior. They used to carry superior brands of meats. I'm not buying Target meat anymore. Meat is expensive and I want my money's worth.

This roast was so tough and filled with gristle that I couldn’t eat it. I had to throw it away. Of course I couldn’t return it because I had cooked it in the slow cooker, which should have made it tender.

I slow cooked this piece of meat on low for 6 hrs. Yes it was tender but it had these weird bright red spots (like dye looking red) on the outer layer. It was completely cooked so that wasn't raw spots. it looked like someone had injected red dye to make it redder.
Tender and juicy

I don’t tend to buy meat at target but stumbled upon this and it looked really good. The packaging is really easy to open so you can just dump it straight in the crockpot. Turned out great! Was very tender and juicy.
Not bad at all!

Didn't know what to expect, but it made a great roast that fell apart after cooking for a few hours in a dutch oven. Tasty.
