The formula is very thin and not at all hydrating. Worse than that, it smells like vomit. I either got a really bad batch, or something is wrong with the formula. Smells like literal puke. I can’t handle it and it’s going in the garbage bin.

Smells very odd, but that’s the charm of the Chardonnay scent. Like all spf lip products, when you get it in your mouth it’s disgusting. The main thing I like is the packaging and the typography. I love the tube, it is heavy and luxurious feeling. The lip oil doesn’t last too long on the lips, but it’s alright.

i would give this negative stars. IT HAS SUCH A FOUL ODOR. it literally smells rotten. i just opened it to the most disgusting smell. based on the other reviews i feel like I was sold old a product.

I had verrrrry high hopes for this product. I live in SW Florida and even on days when I don’t get outside much, I am exposed to a lot of strong sun. At 34 I’ve noticed the effects of sun exposure much more than I did a few years ago and wanted something for my lips that I could wear daily but that would help keep them hydrated and look a little nicer than a regular SPF balm. Here’s my thoughts: looks very nice upon initial application. Nice amount of shine and texture is very very light. Not goopy or tacky at all. However, no matter how careful I am it always seems to end up in my mouth and it doesn’t taste like vanilla to me, it just tastes like any other SPF product. Also, because the texture is so light it seems to wear off very quickly, even when careful about eating/drinking. As far as hydrating my lips, I feel kind of neutral. I don’t think it’s makes a great deal of difference but it definitely doesn’t make them worse. All in all, I would probably repurchase as long as I live somewhere sunny because it’s still nicer than a regular SPF chapstick, and the price point isn’t ridiculous. But manage your expectations. It’s not a miracle product
