Weird flavor. Picked these up for a cute breakfast and they taste off. Not quite red velvet, not quite strawberry but they had a flavor™️ for sure. But mmmhhh I love my chemical red dyes I love my red dye 3. Made 8 waffles (2 giant 2x2 waffle iron)

I understand that usually the first pancake is sacrificed but I could not get these to cook properly at all. I tried changing pans, making smaller, lower heat, but no matter what I did they burned on the outside and would not cook the top side. I managed to get one to finally cook without completely burning but when I want to flip the whole thing crumbled anyway. Just not a good recipe. Cute idea but maybe a blessing in disguise seeing as the colorant is Red 3.

Love the adorable pink packaging! Love the idea of these - too often pink equals berry flavor and it’s great when it isn’t! Love that you only need water to make these! Unfortunately, the chocolate chips basically dissolved into the mix and turned it all a muddy barf color. These browned quickly and we had to hover over the pan babysitting them so they didn’t burn. The texture was dry, crumbly, fell apart easily. Taste was ok but the chocolate chips didn’t stay in tact so it was just a lightly chocolate flavored pancake. Color was terrible and they looked awful but they were edible. Definitely not worth full price!

I'm disappointed that the colorant used for this breakfast mix is RED3. Somehow, I didn't think twice while picking it up and putting it into my basket. I had trust in Target thinking about their consumers and not selling something directly harmful. This being primarily prepared for kids and consumed by kids. I'm sad I also didn't deep dice into the label on the box and online label. Notice on the Specifications, RED3 isn't listed as a precaution. This DYE disrupts the nervous system, amongst other things. On other products, Target listed as not having the "6 major allergens" in the ingredient list. Target needs to step up versus thinking about profits.

The pink color and chocolate chips are great, definitely has a strawberry taste! But it honestly just tastes like boxed cake mix. Like I could grab a box of cake mix, add water, and it would probably taste like this. That’s the only thing I didn’t really like about the taste it was just really sweet. Otherwise they’re good! If you don’t mind sweet pancakes, they’re good.

Impromptu purchase. I was afraid these would be too sweet because while mixing this it had a potent strawberry shortcake smell. Once done, amazing not too sweet at all, fluffy texture and adorable and fun for kids. My 11 yr old approved!

I understood the concept and the idea of pink pancakes sounds great but the taste had a strawberry aspect to it when it didn’t say these were “strawberry flavored”. I do wish the chocolate chips were in a separate packaging inside so it’s easier to mix at first.
