These are game changers in my garden. Helping to get worms to help my garden.

These are sturdy and work great but they are a bit big. I made the mistake of putting mine in the center of my beds, which made them difficult to get at once the plants started getting larger. I plan to move them closer to one end when I replant in the spring. While I began with worms, black soldier flies moved in and took over, which is totally fine too.

I purchased a set of 2 Worm Composters for my 4x8 Vego Garden 17” beds and it takes up more room than I expected. I needed it near the edge so I could easily add compost and just feels like it takes up valuable real estate. Just be sure to realize the measurements and envision that in your garden. But I still LOVE them as the contribution of the hard working worms is worth it all.

Racoons can open it in 5 seconds so we do not use anymore

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s in my 32” bed and easy to fit in. My advice is buy it and install it with your bed installation…. mych easier than moving all the dirt in a bed already filled and functioning.

It is really fun and convenient to add garden waste to this bin. A year in, and my entire bed is teeming with red wigglers (I added at the start into the worm bin). This was particularly gratifying since I decided to go with vego because the mole/vole/gopher population in my area had decimated my regular worms and were eating all crops. An important caution though. I have a lot of wildlife near my gardens, and they consistently open, raid, and spread when the garden waste includes kitchen scraps. Consider your environmental companions when deciding what to put in the worm bin. I am going to move one of my two to a place closer to the house and up in a 32 inch high to see if this helps with critter interference.

I am a huge fan of vermicomposting and was very excited to add this to our bed. The only knock is that some animals can get in pretty easily, specifically the ones that already look like bandits. Yea raccoons can get in unless you get the version with the latch. Other than that it works great!

I have four 32 inch bins and four worm restaurants. I love the ease of use for my kitchen scraps and clippings.

Amazing way to compost! My garden is now filled with happy worms that make me beautiful compost without having to do much.

Working as advertised with the edition of the red worms added. Taking care of most of my scrap vegetables from the kitchen.

This is the perfect outdoor container to hold my worms

I love this product! I added it to a new 2X8 bed that had a watering system in the bottom. I added 500 worms to the bed near the basket and started adding kitchen and yard waste. I estimate the worms are breaking down about a gallon to one foot square amount of waste a week. Once a month or so I emptied the basket by putting uncomposted waste aside and then digging out the worm casting, but OMG it's black gold on the garden. The top may lock well enough, but I added some bungee cords to keep any wanna bee critters out by sliding through the top holes. These may eventually rot, I don't know. Highly recommend.

I did as instructed and even placed it in a bed with worms that had been introduced a few weeks prior. And nothing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I thought everything was fine until raccoons started digging down in the raised bed to get to what’s inside the bin. So far they haven’t figured out have to open the lid but are trashing the bed and two tomato plants!

I love my in ground worm composter! It fertilizes my plants perfectly!

And I needed a test bed. One is set up as a worm composter and the other a bsf one. It took 2 weeks and 2000 worms to get it up to speed but it seems like it could handle a quart a day. The biggest issue I haven't faced yet is emptying it and collecting back the worms. Highly recommended for a 4 x 4 or larger layout, but takes up too much space for 2 x 4.

I like it, but the worms all left through the holes.
