Vego Garden Retractable Hose Reel Set

I love this hose! I set everything up in my own, including setting the post in concrete. The hose works great and I love that it swivels easily.

I love my Vego retractable hose reel. It has nice water pressure and the nozzle has quick connection. My sister loved so much that she bought one too!

The Vego Hi-Floe Retractable hose is a game change for watering my plants and garden. The quality is amazing. Made to last. Easy to install. Love the leghth of the hose. Doesn't get tangled and retracts smoothly. I no longer have a garden hose laying stretched across my yard. The spray nozzle has a variety of ways to spray. I definitely recommend.

This project was challenging as we had to find an alternative base for the stand as it was being installed on a deck. We attached a 2’ by 12” by, 2 1/2 inch piece of dry Douglas fir to the decking and joist underneath and then attached the stand to it. It is very solid, out of the weather and direct sunshine.

Simple to install, works as advertised so far. We have yet to go through winter storage with the unit, but it looks to be very simple as well.

This is the second retractable hose reel I have purchased and Vego is by far the better option. This reel is very attractive on our house and functions smoothly. I will definitely buy again in the future!

Love the retractable hose, but the mounting hardware is not sufficient when installing in brick. The weight of the unit pulls the top set of screws down and out. I followed the instructions as provided in the booklet. I cannot mount to a 4x4 post so will need to come up with an alternative anchoring solution.

I have this located in my fenced in vegetable garden that is 22" x 105". It is located in about the middle of the garden along the back fence. I bought this in the hopes that I wouldn't have to have a plumber come out and put in an other hydrant for my garden. In that regard it has worked well. The hose can be a bit hard to "tug" on and to get it to lock into place, but it is not insurmountable. The unit is pretty heavy, so you need to put in a pretty stout post to mount it on. It is very nice that it swivels 180 degrees. So far I like it and like that it retracts. I've only had it about 3 months so we will have to see how it holds up in the long run. I plan on taking it down and storing it inside for the winter.

Best money I have spent this year on gardening. Saves my back and shoulder not having to reel a hose in.
