The Essential Large Backpack (as shown for the Gingham Plaid pattern, has been an excellent backpack. This version - I have multiples of this style for work. However, the style has been changed with newer patterns. Less pockets and visually - much more bland than the former style. Vera Bradley - if you downgrade a style you need to give it a new name. Otherwise, it's bait & switch. Not ok.

The only thing that could make this backpack better is a small horizontal zip pocket across the front and tighter side pockets for the water bottle. I like how big it is but it's kinda loose.
