I wanted a satin scrunchie because my velvet-textured ones kept pulling my hair out. This one is so much gentler on my hair. It doesn't have as tight of a hold, but it does keep my hair held up well (stays in place all day). I would definitely get more of this type of scrunchie to protect my hair while keeping it secured.
