Q&A(8)

Q: How often are you supposed to use it in a day?

submitted by Linda - 3 years ago
  • A: Thanks for your question, Linda. Vicks BabyRub is not a drug and can be used as often as needed on babies 3 months and older. It's safe to use on the chest, neck, back and the bottom of your baby's feet. Just make sure you cover the feet to avoid accidental ingestion.

Q: Does this vapor have a menthol smell just like it would be for an adult usage, maybe not as strong? I need something that can open my babies nostrils without over drying or causing more discomfort.

submitted by CJ - 3 years ago
  • A: This is an excellent question, CJ! Unlike the adult Vicks VapoRub, Vicks BabyRub doesn't contain menthol but eucalyptus, rosemary, and lavender oils as fragrances. It's also non-medicated and has petrolatum and aloe to leave your baby’s skin feeling soft. BabyRub is meant to soothe and relax your little one, so you can use it as often as necessary too. All its ingredients are listed on smartlabel: https://smartlabel.pg.com/00323900006171.html. We recommend speaking with your pediatrician if your baby continues to have difficulty breathing through his or her nose or has over-dry skin. Feel free to give us a call at (800) 873-8276 with any additional questions.
