It was not very fresh tasting and had almost a taste as if the grounds were slightly old. I tried several different K cups in the box and they all tasted as if the grounds had been sitting around for a while and were slightly old and they did not have a very good coffee flavor. I don't know if air got into the K cups or what was the issue, but they did not really taste as good as I would have expected. It honestly tasted like the coffee was slightly old. I've had better luck with other flavors of this brand, but this one was quite disappointing.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As you may be able to tell from the photos, I do not own a brewer/coffee machine so I got a little creative to try it. I’m usually an iced coffee drinker and use instant or already made coffee so this was something different to try. Without a coffee machine, I simply dumped the coffee grounds from the cup into a coffee filter and poured boiling hot water over it. The scent of the coffee was very strong, mouthwatering with a little hint of chocolate that made me anxious to drink. I let it sit for a few seconds before taking it a sip, WHOA! That’s some strong stuff! The taste was delicious, I’m not exaggerating but as a lightweight coffee girl, I don’t think it’s something I’d go for often. Even after adding some milk/cream, it was still pretty strong but I’m obsessed with the smell, honestly I want to make it into a candle!

It smells amazing when brewing and easy to use k cups mean I use it more! It’s also a big plus that it’s organic and doesn’t have the laundry list of ingredients like lesser coffees. Four stars though because I do still prefer my Starbucks holiday blend. Would recommend!

The fact that it is organic gives me hope that maybe it is just a little bit better for me than the alternatives. I don't know this for sure, but organic is usually better, right? It sure tastes like it, I know that. If you enjoy the bold and hearty taste of pure coffee, then this one is for you. If you like a very light roast, you should probably choose something else. For many, this coffee may come across as too strong, too bold, or even bitter. However, this is the definition of a full bodied, dark, deep, bold roast coffee. If you enjoy that pure coffee taste, you will love this one!
