A: No you sadly wouldn't be able to hear much of anything without them. As someone that's bought it. I would definitely recommend some simple bookshelf speakers

My husband and I have wanted a record player for years, since we stayed in an airbnb that had one & we enjoyed it so much. We set this up yesterday, hooked it up to our home stereo system, and listened to our new records all night. Beautiful sound, sleek look, and easy to use.

I purchased and returned this item, as the power button was defective. I picked up the same item at another Target, with the same issue. I would not recommend this product. It looks great and the price is excellent, but does not work properly.

Automatic arm would not move, only lift and set down, was getting hung up on the holding stand. Also could not get the Bluetooth to connect, tried multiple speakers and headphones. The single on/off/bt/mode switch is ATROCIOUS. Feels like there is sand trapped behind it and there is little to no travel on the button. If you don’t press it exactly in the middle there is a chance it won’t even work. Retuning it for a better brand.

I'm fairly new to vinyl, having long built up a collection of records just to decorate my room. I finally bit the bullet and told myself I'd buy this record player for myself for Xmas this year and I was completely blown away. The biggest thing that was preventing me from getting into vinyl more was I just figured it would be too technical; I guess "techy" is the word for it, but this was by far the most user-friendly experience I could have asked for. It sounds cliche, but it really does all the heavy lifting for you and lets me focus on the music. I'm thinking about buying one of these for my dad this Xmas with some leftover holiday funds I have. I can't recommend it enough.

We are having so much fun with our Victrola. We are playing lots of our old albums and Christmas music. The sound is really good through our wireless speaker. My favorite part is that you press a button and the needle arm moves over and goes on the record automatically. No more scratching the record when you put the needle down. The Victrola is a great value for the money.

This is a great turn table with some really nice high end features and amazing sound quality. The automatic play and continous repeat features are awesome. I just really like not having to manually put the needle on the record, although you still can if you want. Set up was super easy and so was connecting it to my bluetooth speakers. I love the simple, but sleek and high end look of it. You can tell it's a quality turntable. My only minor complaint is I'd like it if there was a 3.5 headphone jack for those of us that don't have bluetooth headphones. Other than that though I'm super impressed with this turntable.

Would not amplify sound. Was really excited to get this record player for the repeat in auto shut off. However after numerous attempts of trying the sound would not amplify via Bluetooth or via connected speakers.
