I love the product and love the attempt at using less plastic in the packaging. But, the canister design needs to go back to the drawing board. I am spending the morning cleaning my entire pantry because the cardboard lid can fall off easily and between the cardboard canister being so wide it’s hard to grasp with one hand and the cardboard having a sheen that makes the paper slippery - it’s a mishap that has almost happened several times and today it happened. Will be storing this powder in a different container.

Teaspoons, tablespoons and grams and label instructions, needing some guidance. If one rounded tablespoon of collagen peptides is about 15 grams, then it would follow that 4 tablespoons would be about 60 grams. The label on Vital Proteins Collagen peptides states “serving size 4 tablespoons (20 g)”. Am I missing something? Big difference in teaspoons and tablespoons. I would guess for 20 g dosage, 4 teaspoons would be closer to 20 g.

Since the mass of an ingredient is equal to its volume multiplied by its specific density, our team has used the specific density of our Collagen Peptides to create a serving volume of 4 tablespoons that achieves the desired mass/weight of serving of 20 grams. Been taking this for over 3 years and I love it. It dissolves total in my coffee. I have thought about going to another brand just because of the new packaging. I have to cut a hole in it and pour it into my old plastic container. Have spilled alot on just trying to open. This was a very bad idea to change package.

Product is great and notice a considerable difference in health. Also the new packaging is terrible. Take note, the packaging receives bad reviews consistently on all websites. Please change back to the tub type with screw lid.

I love the product but cannot, but the new packaging is terrible. I have arthritis and cannot open the new “ paper” container. I have noticed similar comments from those with arthritis. This morning I finally, I had to open a new container and after several attempts to open, I finally had to chop it up to gain entry. This is ridiculous. I fortunately kept an old screw top container and I have to dump the contents into it once I finally open the one with the new packaging. If you cannot offer a package that is user friendly to those of us with arthritis can, I will have to change to a brand I can open.

I love the product but cannot open the new “paper” container. I have arthritis in my hands and this morning I finally had to take a knife and chop up the top to get into the container. This is ridiculous. Please go back to the screw top. If not, I will have to change to a brand I can open. I hate to do that as I have been taking Vital Proteins for many years. There must be a way to be friendly to the environment and still make a container those of us with arthritis can open!!

This is a quick dissolving collagen that's without any flavor. I'm hoping this collagen is better than my last collagen because my nails are in horrible shape. My nails are splitting and breaking, I've never had that before. I'm giving this review a 4 start as I do not know how my nails will fair.

We are happy to provide some information regarding our product filling quantities: Our canisters are filled by weight (as specified by the number of ounces on your canister) rather than volume. Due to the nature of the powder product, some canisters may have a denser batch of collagen, resulting in an amount that appears to be "lower" in the canister, or even a more loosely-packed batch that appears to be "higher" in the canister! However, all of our canisters are filled to the exact weight and number of servings as listed! We leave extra room in the canister to allow for the product to expand and settle, as it tends to do so during transport. To account for this, we provide an average fill line on our canisters indicated by a small line at the edge of your product's label and is labeled "FILL LINE". At Vital Proteins, we believe protecting our planet is vital. As of December 2022, we began to remove our plastic scoops from all products. We have the belief that caring for people also means caring for their environment.

This product has a great value to health AND now comes packaged with SO much LESS PLASTIC! It would be good if more companies follow their lead. The packaging is NOT hard to open, just FOLLOW DIRECTIONS - take your time, read and pull the tab.

I take this product to get extra protein in my diet among other general, if less critical, wellness benefits. I appreciate the new packaging so much because ai hated thrown a huge plastic tub in the recycling every two weeks. Keep it up Vital proteins! I’m a fan!!

The new packaging is HORRIBLE!! I have been using this product for over a year and was enjoying the benefits but the new packaging will make me stop buying it. It doesn’t seal so you can’t travel with it. It is hard to open, I spilled HALF of my container trying to get it open. It won’t stay fresh. I will find another brand of collagen to buy.

The new packaging is awful! For people with arthritis in their hands or that have other physical limitations, this container is NOT user friendly. I would think that half to the majority of customers using this product are women 45+ years old who are looking for joint support. This packing is counterintuitive! I really like the product itself but if I have to wait for someone to open it for me, I will no longer buy it. Please reconsider! Plastic recycles.
