I got this unit so I could tailor the sound from my tv; often the music was too loud and drowned out the speech or made it difficult to understand. It allowed me to do that. I returned my original purchase after 3 months as it was very slow to come on and sometimes wouldn't come on without unplugging and replugging. The replacement is also slow to come on, but so far has not refused to turn on.
The older version of this model is superior

Worked and sounded great for about 3-4 months. Sounds pretty rough unless played at low levels. Love video though, so I’m sure they’ll fix it in no time

My receiver was taken out by a thunderstrom. I chose the Vizio Sound Bar as a replacement. Connecting it was fairly straight forward. However, programming it through the remote was another matter. The instruction manual was not very helpful. I had better luck with Youtube. However, once it was setup and programmed the sound is excellent!

I finally upgraded my surround sound and I'm so glad I did. The sound just rumbles thru out the house and the set up of the two speakers in the rear brings all those sounds as if one is in the theater. Love it and so easy to install.

I bought it last month prior to the start of the Mens NCAA hoops tournament. My team lost but I’m glad I made the purchase. The setup was quick and easy. The instructions were clear and walks you through every step of the installation. Sound quality is very good without being obtrusive.

The sound is great -- I gave 4 stars and not 5 for 2 reasons: 1. The sound level goes up and down by multiples -- eg - sound level at 54 -- if I click volume up button it goes up by multiples of 3 -- from 54 to 57--same things when going down -- so that is a bit annoying. 2. It takes about 10+ seconds for my TV to recognize the sound bar when I turn the TV on. The TV starts and the sound is coming out of the TV until it recognizes the sound bar about 10-15 seconds later -- not a big deal but still a bit annoying. Once it is on and going though -- IT IS AWESOME!! Wish we would have bought it years ago!!

Always disconnects from the TV no matter which TV I switch it to. Vizio support gives no information for firmware updates or fix.

Now on my third unit. For some reason, when using HDMI In, the unit does not auto-switch between Vizio TV inputs, so I lose audio when I switch back to the HDMI In input and have to unplug the unit, then plug back in to re-gain audio. Have troubleshot with various levels of tech support and they all agree that this issue should not be occurring. The resolution department did offer to swap out the unit for a refurbished version that was a couple of years old, but I really wasn't looking for a downgrade on a new product. Other than that, really enjoying the surround sound with movies and sports. Would still recommend this product as it may just have an issue working with 2020 Vizio TV models.

Sounds amazing when it actually plays. Straight out of the box it turns off on it own after just a few minutes will never buy Vizio again!!!!
