Wakefield Compost + Biochar with Mycorrhizal Fungi Organic Compost Mix, 1 Gallon

I used this alone for a few small plants and as a soil amendment to a few others. My plants are happy and growing well. I love that it is organic and it retains water longer than my other plant substrates which means less watering. I will absolutely be purchasing more of this and I definitely recommend trying it to see your plants grow big and healthy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Wakefield Compost + Biochar with Mycorrhizal Fungi is easy to use for a plant or pot. The plant absorbs great nutrition easily and it doesn't negatively impact the plant or soil if in the ground. The downside is that the bag is small and there isn't enough to provide for more than a single plant or medium sized pot.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this with a subset of huckleberries that I’m growing. I used it during planting out of 15 of my 45 seed-raised garden huckleberries. Using it as a base and mix around the transplants, I used this and did not with my remaining plants. At first I thought they’ll be no real or discernible differences. Well was I wrong, after the plants started hardening off in the rows, I saw the 15 with biochar start to darken deep green, whike the others were average. Then the growth came in mid week 2, on average 5-6” faster growth than those not experiencing the enriched compost. I went out last week and got more. This adds vigor, growth and most importantly, roots. Love, love, love this mix. I’m a new advocate!!

We like that you are able to grow plants and use less water due to this type of compost soil. It's a healthier way to grow plants. It's more on the pricier side but worth it.

Hopefully, it will be fantastic I simply added 1 cup of bio-char for each plant to the soil before planting. I added a bit less water than I normally do as well. The plants have been in the ground for 8 days now and they look magnificent so far. This was super easy to work with and had no foul odors or weird textures. Easy to understand instructions as well. Definitely recommend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been a gardener for decades, took horticulture classes, and am a Forester by trade. I have grown millions of seeds in my life. I often tried reusing soil or using low grade soil. I went to this as a saving grace and was happy that my plants grew very well, had amazing roots, and I germinated and grew plants without the issue of damping off. It is a neat concept with the wood and my mycorrhizae. I believe the beautiful root systems of the germinated seedlings was due to the mycorrhizal benefit.

This stuff works, I put it down and within a week we had grass coming in, I watered it twice a day, now I have really green grass. A really heart product all round.
