I initially loved these barstools. However the first week we had them the silver tacks around the seats started to come loose. At first it was one. Not a big deal, then it was seven and the trim is hanging! Very disappointing. I’d be weary if you have small children around them…..

Taragvon, Thank you for taking the time to write a review on the Walt Backless Counter Height Barstool Black/White. We are very sorry the nailhead trim is coming loose on these stools. This should not be happening and will be reviewed internally. They are hand applied. An easy fix is to take a rubber mallet and tap them back in. You can also contact us at consumersupport@linon.com or Mon-Fri 9:00AM-5:00PM at 800-262-1852 and we can send out additional nailheads.
Sturdy but challenging

Sturdy chair with fun cowhide seat but VERY difficult to assemble. I’ve put together lots of furniture but this one is not only a little light on instruction but also the parts don’t fit right. After struggling for hours, the legs and supports got into place but the center “stretch bar” was impossible to get into place (too short). Finally gave up and will use it with side and front/back supports which seem to make the stool sturdy enough but it is frustrating that manufacturer’s don’t find quality control to be important. If you have carpentry experience, perhaps putting this stool together and/or modifying it will not be a problem but for the average do-it-yourselfer it is going to be a headache (or just don’t bother trying to get the center stretcher bar in place).

I ordered 3 of the brown/white cow print. Assembly was by trial & error due to inadequate instructions. Not difficult just didn’t realize the side rails were specific to position (high or low position). They are comfortable at the counter but wobble a little. I will have to find something to level the legs.

I bought four of these for my kitchen island. They are super cute and fairly comfortable. One of them wobbles, however. This could have been something I messed up when doing the assembly, but I'm not sure why only one is wobbly. Assembly was fairly straightforward once you get the first one down, though the instructions lack verbiage and show you somewhat unhelpful diagrams.
