A: If you google "gallon to liter" the result is 1 gallon =3.785 liters so incorrect information but hey I appreciate the positivity & the exclamation point :-)

In hindsight the description does say “black” however the pictures make it seem like this is more of a dark brown garbage. It is fully black which is not what I was expecting. The weave was pretty damaged throughout as well.

Target no longer sells a different basket by this brand, which comes with the plastic liner. This one is terrible quality. The color is chipping off and the fiber is disintegrating.

Bought 4 of these online and every one of them was scuffed up when I received. The lighter natural color does actually hold up well - I’ve had one in our bathroom for years but the dark color is just painted on so every scuff stands out horribly.

I like the fact that it matches the decor I've opted for, but the stains it has left on our light colored flooring, are nearly impossible to remove. The color it leaves behind is like a purple/red stain.

I bought this basket because it matched other items I already had. Overall it’s solid and I’m happy with it. But a warning (and the reason I’m giving it 3 stars): if the bottom gets wet it will stain light colored flooring. For a good week, I couldn’t figure out where this purple stain on my white tile floor came from. Then I had to move the trash can to the other side of the bathroom and water happened to get on the floor. As I was cleaning it up, I picked up the trash can to dry the area and saw another purple stain on the floor. It was the trash can. So be warned. I’ve decided to keep it because it matches my decor. But I bought some adhesive pads you usually put on the bottom of furniture to protect hardwood floor from scratches. I’m hoping that keeping the bottom off the floor will prevent another stain.

This wastebasket is super cute, and the removable plastic liner makes it convenient, but like others have said, it has places where the dye either hasn’t taken or has chipped away. Luckily, one of the reviewers here mentioned they’d solved that problem with a black felt pen, so I decided to take my chances and order it. The felt pen hack works like a charm. Would be five stars, if it didn’t need the DIY repair job.
