Help! I love Watkins Maple Extract: it doesn't lose it's flavor in a baked recipe, and super in plain yogurt with stevia! HOWEVER, I'm on a VERY strict diet, and there's no nutritional information on the bottle, package, or website. That means I can't use it in recipes anymore!

I used this extract in Banana bread, carrot cake/muffins and pumpkin bread. My favorite in banana breads/cakes, folks pick up a hint of maple yet, haven't figured it out yet!

I'm not sure what happened to this product. I had purchased it in the past and the maple flavor was wonderful even using just a few drops (in coffee). I am usually very pleased with Watkins products. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with my more recent purchase of this maple extract. I had to use much more of the product to achieve even a hint of maple taste, and even then the taste was minimal. It seemed like it was watered down or something compared to what it was in the past. I wondered if I just received a bad batch, but I see from the reviews that others have had this same experience. What happened to the wonderful maple flavor?

My grandmother, mother, myself and sisters have used Watkins flavorings. I have been married 60 years and used it all those years and would not use anything else. Since I don't cook like I used to a bottle lasted much longer and when I bought a bottle a few months ago we were very, very disappointed with the smell and taste nothing like the original that Watkins has a reputation for being high above the rest. Please go back to the original - I am willing to pay more for the added quality. I use it to make the very best maple syrup that my family loves and let me know when I use another brand (this includes my grandchildren in their 20's and 30's.)

I make my own syrup and I went to get the brand I usually used and all the store had was watkins. I took it home and made my syrup and it was wonderful. Now that store doesn't have this brand. I like that there are no artificial coloring or other stuff.
The only maple extract I use!

I am so pleased with this extract. The smell is beyond delicious, and I absolutely love the fact that it doesn't contain the industrial ingredients, colorants, and artificial flavorings of other products. I use it primarily to make my own sugar free pancake syrup, but it's excellent for baked goods as well. 5/5 -- a perfect product, and the only maple extract I will be buying from now on.

I bought this in order to make maple syrup. I usually use a different brand. This had no coloring so it made just a syrup which was clear and unappetizing. It had no fragrance to speak of and very little maple taste. You would never have guessed it to be maple flavored.
