Q: Can I use Weiman Leather Wipes to clean leather that has a glued vinyl patch. Can it cause the glued vinyl patch to separate from the leather at the edges?

A: This product is formulated to penetrate and absorb into leather, restoring the sheen and suppleness. It cannot penetrate into vinyl so it cannot produce the same results as it would on leather.

A: The Leather Wipes can be used on any type of leather which has a protective finish over the dyed leather. This includes pebbled, bonded, distressed, white (and any color) and even wearable leather. Do not use on suede, nubuck, Natuzzi® brand or any unfinished leather. If your leather has not been conditioned in a while and you would like to restore it back to its original luster and sheen, I would recommend our Weiman Lather Conditioning Cream. Weiman Leather Conditioning Cream is an easy to use 3-in-1 conditioner specially formulated to clean, condition, & protect leather while restoring it to its original texture & sheen. Moisturizers instantly revitalize & restore leather, helping to prevent drying out. This product will safely remove dirt & grime without leaving a sticky residue behind. Test on an inconspicuous area before use. To use, apply a generous amount of conditioning cream to surface. Omgoodness! I have a to do list a mile long - but after using this ( one of my to do’s) I had to write about my experience. I only wish I had taken before and Afters. I was beside myself when I realized much of my leather was covered in mold - Living in Florida for 20 years I have never experienced such moisture in an apartment- it has been traumatizing on so many levels- Moving on to what might seem surface to many but felt like a huge loss - my grandmothers vintage , amazing , and obviously sentimental belt had very specific snaps that only went with some and there were several- this piece is so unique - when I looked up online how to rid leather of mold it said to use rubbing alcohol- It seemed to work in terms of removing the mold on almost all the items for the most part except this belt ! I was beginning to question if it was real leather but I knew it was and the back being suede and knowing my grandmother there’s no way it wasn’t - but it literally turned almost silver through the grooves and I thought for sure it was ruined . I tried a few other leather products I had at home but then decided before I threw it away I would give this a try- So I explain this part because this is important as it definitely takes a few minutes to sink in. I wiped it really good and then took a paper towel and dried it - still discolored… I was about to throw it away but the artist in me and sentimental started thinking I would have to dye it to salvage this treasure . I walked away for five minutes and came back- the belt was completely restored! I am still in awe - and so grateful for this product and how amazing it is ! After that I went on a frenzy to restore every leather item in view and everything looks amazing again!! This is an incredible product - it restores leather beautifully and does exactly what it says conditions leaving it looking perfect ! I am so thrilled if you have anything that needs to be restored do not hesitate you will be so happy you found this! And it smells really nice too! Bonus !

I used this leather wipes on my Volvo car seats left them very color stripped looking like just an awful look,do not recommend.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. The base of the product is a white emulsion so if there is too much product applied and not fully buffed in it will dry and the residue left behind will be white/cloudy/dry. This can be removed by using a small amount of product, re-applying with one cloth, then thoroughly buffing in well with a second dry soft cloth. You could also use a small amount of mild soap and water to remove all the dried-on product.
