Q: Is the stainless steel cleaner petroleum based or water based?
A: I believe it's water. It doesn't have a strong smell or smearing effect. We use it once a month and in between uses, a soft towel will buff the prints right out of it.

Q: Does it remove rust on the stainless steel refrigerator door?

Q: What are the application directions?
A: To apply the Weiman Stainless Steel Cleaner. Shake well before using. Spray directly onto surface. Wipe in the direction of the natural metal grain using a clean, soft cloth. Buff with a dry cloth to achieve a brilliant shine.

A: Yes, you can use our Weiman Stainless Steel Cleaner & Polish on black stainless steel. This product should not be used if the stainless steel has a matte finish or has the non-smudge proof coating.

Q: Will it clean copper and remove oxidation?
A: Weiman Stainless Steel Cleaner & Polish is intended for use on stainless steel appliances, and will protect stainless steel from rust and oxidation. However, it has not been tested on copper surfaces, so we would not recommend it for this use.
