was looking for a home version of the trimmer I had at work – for anyone familiar with trimmers, you can't press down at all on the safety guard to help lay the paper flat against the mat while it cuts – tried to cut a 12 x 10 sheet down to letter size and it just completely butchered the paper – I could get a clean cut if I took off the safety guard and held a ruler down, but then you're working with no safety guard and just a super sharp guillotine blade, not great. Annoyed b/c this item was really well reviewed, but then after realizing this didn't work at all, I went back and looked more closely, and almost every single review was collected as part of a promotion by the manufacturer. So – just want to flag this for people who are looking for something decent, save yourself the energy of a return and DO NOT BUY THIS TRIMMER.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the aesthetics of this cutter - if that is even a thing! It have a nice rubberized handle grip and it feels heavy duty. It cuts through paper with sharpness...I hate it when cutters make the paper slip and cause a crinkle if they are not sharp enough. Not this one!

This is the best thing for me, I no longer have to keep cutting to make everything even if I’m cutting them all at the same time. I also love that it’s not super heavy, perfect for taking from place to place.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Westcott Titanium Bonded Guillotine Trimmer, 12" Black in color, is a medium duty Trimmer. Very nice quality, and a smaller version for crafting, and maybe school, or college needs. Has a 10 sheet ability, 12" cutting board. Has a grid and ruler as well. I pull this out, when I'm only in need of doing smaller to medium projects. It's very nice, and have used this quite a bit since I got it. I've formed a small crafting class, so this Trimmer comes in handy while doing smaller projects. Give this a buy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use this to trim photos that are printed out. It works great. I only do one at time but not because it can't handle it. I just need precision on each cut. I find this easier to use than scissors. Great addition for any crafter.

For home or small office use, this will allow you to print and separate multiple messages or images from a single page or clean up trimmed pages.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a teacher, I use a lot of paper cutters. I really really like this one! It is a great size. Big enough to fit full size sheet of paper but not so big to make it bulky and hard to store. It is VERY light weight, making it easy to move in and out of storage (away from students) but is not at all flimsy. Very well made, sharp, and feels durable. It has a raised safety guard, which I like. It is raised higher than most I have seen. Nice for extra safety of fingers.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really put the trimmer through the test on different size 20 lb papers including legal and ledger size for trimming and cutting at all different angles of the papers. Had to remove the fingerguard on the top of the trimmer in order to move the longer and wider sheets of paper closer to the cutting edge for accurate trimming. Some pages had 14"& 17" lengths of paper imprinted with color ink which made the paper slightly heavier and resistant to the blade cutting smoothly without tearing the edge vs a sharp cut border. Must have cut close to a full ream of paper testing the angles of the cuts on the gridded surface of trimmer. It was awkward to trim the longer papers in one pass and several passes had to be made to get the excess trimmed accurately. Perhaps it may be helpful to have some diagonal lines through the gridded boxes to help with the alignment of the strips to be cut.because the paper wasn't clear or transparent. - Trimmer easily cut through 12 sheets of 20 lb paper. - A lightweight tool which made it easy to cart from desktop to tabletop in a fabric tote bag unlike the paper cutter from once upon a time which has heavy wood.. . - Loved the safety guard lock to keep blade closed in transport away from little curious hands. . . - Was tempted to cut cardstock but didn't want to overstress the limits of the blade, especially when it was nearing the end of the ream of assorted papers. - Either the blade or I was getting tired and seemed to bend with some of the later cuts. Took a break and returned to complete the cutting task at hand. - Would recommend allowing time to space out the task into multiple parts, time permitting instead of doing the volume of the job. - Would also like to have some tips to safeguard the sharpness of the cutting blade and troubleshooting to help with the multiple cuts on a single edge when paper exceeds the size of the 12" surface. Look forward to more cutting projects with this tool. . . .

The numbers are large to read and it cuts sharply. I do not think it would stand up to a heavy use setting if it was available to multiple people. Many people do not take care with the equipment like I do.

Can handle 10 sheets of cardstock with no problem. Extremely sharp! Locking mechanism holds blade securely. Ruler markings are easy to read and helps with cutting accurately.
