Q: What are the storage dimensions under the lift part of the desk?

A: The center compartment has two crossbars in it, which support the hinges. Although the space beneath these parts is open, the crossbars separate this area into three sections. The center section has a width of 13.9", though with the hinge, only 12.2" is usable. The depth is 17.7". The outer sections measure 4.6" wide. The total interior height is 3.9".

We just finished assembling this desk. This is a very good price for the quality of the desk. It was very simple, most of it was already assembled by the manufacturer. The instructions were easy to understand, the holes all properly placed, and no missing parts. My 7 year old loves it so far. The only reason I took off a star was because the front had a very small chip in it and the drawers (already assembled by the manufacturer) are rickety and squeaky. We’ll try and fix with some WD40. Overall very happy, a great price for a good quality desk.

A little tricky to get the lift top flat and some of the gold/brass paint wasn’t perfect but overall super cut and functional

I loved the look and style of this desk. It is so beautifully and fits well in my guest room. There are two negatives: One, is that it is too low. I am 5'5' and can barely fit my legs under the desk. My legs scrape against the desk. I do lower the chair but its low for a regular desk. If your short, this is perfect for you. If your my height or taller then know, that you will have to lower your chair considerably and that gets uncomfortable. The other negative, is that when trying to use the lift top , you have to pull it all the way up. you cannot have it midway or lower. It will slam shut.
