Sturdy enough for a food tray!!! It’s hard to find good quality like this but can almost guarantee you that these are the going to last. I love finding new ways to arrange an organize my things and these these did the trick. They’re smooth not rough, they don’t “catch” or snag, and fit together perfectly.

The material looks nice and like a straw wrapped basket but it's plastic, which is fine by me. These keep their shape well and will be well used around our home!
