Absolutely love the insightful, thought provoking way that this book leads kids to make good choices. My son now definitely understands the impact of his behavior and choices, and looks to improve without reprimand. Absolutely amazing!

Very outdated approach, not respectful towards children. Utilizes time outs and unrelated punishments (knocked over toys so can’t go to the park). This has been proven to not teach children anything. Just makes them feel badly. Terrible approach. I looked at who the authors are and they clearly aren’t mental health professionals. My 5 year old likes these books because of the choices but I have to constantly remind him that we won’t do these things. Please don’t waste your money like I did. PASS.
Very dissapointed. Not for gentle, respectful parenting styles.

This is not a great book if you are into a gentle respectful parenting approach. The style of book is definitely fun with the options to make choices, but the ‘choices’ given are either a ‘good’ way of behaving or a ‘bad’ way of behaving. They basically set up natural behaviors young kids do when they don’t yet have regulation skills, as choices. Also a huge miss is they don’t provide any labeling of emotions behind the events leading to the choices, nor do they guide brief regulation skills before making a choice (take a deep breath, ask for help etc). Very disappointed. A huge miss.

This was hands down the best Children's book I've purchased in quite some time. My kids love reading it, it's interactive, and it has actually made a noticeable difference in the way they view their own choices. Anytime they are making poor choices, all we have to do is remind them that they have the power to choose like Danny. They want to read it again and again and, most importantly, they grasp the concepts behind the book. Great find. Can't wait for more.
