Description
A full roll of this product is 20.5 inches wide and 396 inches long. A full roll can cover up to 56 square feet depending on the design match and pattern repeat. A sample of this product is 8 inches by 11 inches. Perhaps William Morris’s most recognizable design, Strawberry Thief, was inspired by the thrushes that crept under Morris’s strawberry nets in his garden at Kelmscott Manor, Oxfordshire. The original pattern took several days to print using hand-carved woodblocks to build up the different colors, and ‘Strawberry Thief’ was consequently one of Morris’s firm’s most expensive cottons. Whilst waiting to see the first piece printed, Morris endured sleepless nights in his lodgings at Merton Abbey. Designed in 1883, Strawberry Thief remains one of William Morris’s most popular and iconic designs. Strawberry Thief Fibrous Sage presents Morris' famous design in a beautiful metallic soft gold print, giving texture and intrigue. complementing the textured, matte sage green background of this wallpaper. Straight match with a 25.2 inch pattern repeat.
