Wilson GST Youth Leather Football

While using the Wilson leather ball kit & brushing the ball near the laces, the air bladder deflated.

My son and I were waiting for the new GST to come out Wilson has outdone themselves once again ball performs very well great balance and grip!!!

I am a 8th grade coach(volunteer) and have never used any other football besides a leather TDY. I have purchased 9 GST’s in the last four months and had to return three already because they deflate after weeks of use. I have never had this issue with the 1300’s.I actually traded some of my new GSTs for the older 1300s. I am including a photo showing a brand new ball I purchased just weeks ago that is defective. To make matters worst these balls are out of stock nation wide!

As usual, Wilson sets a high bar for footballs with a superior product.

This is a great football. I’m a QB and it feels great. My coaches made fun of me for ha omg a composite ball. Then I got one. They aren’t going to do that anymore.

Have 2 of these as my game balls on Saturday’s. Pumped them both up for the first time tonight and they were flat in no time. Tried again, no air being released that I can tell, until you press on the entry point for the needle. It acts like a button that serves as a quick pressure relief valve. I can hear a click every time it’s pressed, and it takes very little effort, air comes out and usually will continue to do so until the ball is flat. It’s inevitable that it will get pressed inadvertently during a game.

i have had this for about a month and it does better in the rain then most all of the balls ive used, the laces are great too, wish you could just go to dicks and buy it though

Went from composite to leather. Better grip for sure.

My son bought three of these to practice with and they are supposed to be top of the line and none of them are holding air!

Only football my 11 year old pop Warner quarterback will use!

I bought GST Leather footballs for my 2 boys, 12 and 7. Both play QB. We buy new Wilson Footballs every summer.

Best ball on market. Im a middle school QB and have tried them all. We have 10 GST and TDY youth footballs currently.

Durable, good grip, long lasting. I love the way it feels for throwing and catching.

Overall the football is good. I ordered online because the local store only had the college size ball not the youth. The college ball had a much softer leather. The youth ball is much harder and just seems to be a lower quality leather.

Perfect size for smaller hands. Feels very good in my hand and easy to spiral. Just starting out and loving it already. Make sure you prep the ball with the Wilson Prep kit. Way much better in terms of weight and balance compared to a composite ball. High recommend it if your just starting out. Nice tanned color after prepping it too.

Bought 10 for my middle school football team. 5 started going flat within 2 weeks. Very disappointed in the quality.

Bought three balls for my 13 year old son to practice throwing in the off-season. Liked the feel and ball aligns with what our school uses, but two of the three balls keep losing air. I unlaced the balls to find very cheap plastic bladders that fail under normal throwing use (ie not used for any kicking or punting). For the price, i would have expected the balls to be more durable. The bladder has the look and feel of a fragile plastic beach ball. I’m currently in the process of trying to find new bladders that will fit the balls or repair the existing ones. I’ve also spoken with several coaches that use the same ball and all of them have had similar experiences.

Use this ball as my game ball for my sons football games..no substitute for feel of qb and leather for grip. Maintains itself well and better than composite balls.
