Who doesn't love The Wizard of Oz and who didn't watch this growing up, it's such a classic. I grew up wathcing this movie and I will continue to watch, has such a great storyline. It's a great movie for the whole family to enjoy again and again.

The only thing I didn't like was that the picture didn't fill the screen, I had to manually adjust my picture settings on my TV to get full screen view. I've purchased other older movies and when converted to Bluray they give you a full wide screen. Still one of my favorites and a great movie though.

I loved Wizard of Oz growing up as a young girl. I use to have the VHS tape which was in HD back in the early SD TV days, no black bars, etc. However, the Blu-Ray I bought about a year ago after the re-release, it has black SD bars. The movie was shot in the 1960s by MGM, but at least WB should have made it WIDESCREEN, which this is not. Overall, GREAT classic!! I always loved the Wicked Witch LOL Overall, great movie, wish there where no side bars! Great classic to own in anyone's movie library!
Great price / limited special features & lackluster packaging

This 1-disc 75th anniversary release is a bit of a disappointment. In my opinion, the 70th anniversary version is quite a bit better having a few more special features on 2 blu-ray & 1 DVD disc. While it does offer a new feature-length documentary called The Making of the Wizard of Oz, the best thing about this re-release is the [$$$] price tag. You'd think that the 75th anniversary version would outdo the 70th.
