[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Both my kids are big fans of Harry Potter and one of their favourite characters is definitely Dobby. I simply had to get this for them. My 6 year old daughter absolutely adores him. She even brought him to school, because she wanted to show him to all her friends. Dobby has a lot of different phrases, so you don't get bored straight away. And he sounds exactly like the real Dobby. The only small thing I'd love as parent, is a volume control. He can be a little loud.

If there was a more interactive capability the toy would be much improved. I was happy to receive this product for free but would have been disappointed if I had paid for it.

I would never have thought to even look for one of these let alone buy one, but it’s worth the money. Has over 30 different sounds and phrases. His ears, eyes and hands move too when he talks to you, and with his sock he recognises it when placed in his hand. Such a fun and fab doll for kids. Especially Harry Potter fans!

When we first opened it it was so easy to set up but we imagined it may interact slightly more or even on its own slightly but you have to press its hand for anything which got pretty boring after a while. It is now sat on top of my fish tank not having been touched in over 2 weeks.

Apparently, in order to immediately take a better look, touch and evaluate part of the functionality. The toy itself is made of high-quality material, and the ears... I’m absolutely delighted with them, they are so pleasant to the touch that it was difficult to stop stroking them. Speaks two languages - English and French! Dobby says over 30 sounds and phrases as well as moving eyes and arms. If you give Dobby his little sock you will hear the most famous phrase, Dobby is a free Elf! She loved the fact it said so many phrases and it has a dobby sock which she thought was the best ! She loved her dobby teddy but this one took the biscuit ! She won’t leave it alone and he has to go to bed with her every single night ! She had been poorly recently and this perked her up sooo much ! She said it’s the best thing ever ! So if you have a Harry Potter fan it’s going to be a definite win !!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this toy free from Influenster in exchange for my honest review. My boys aged 10 years and 7 years were thrilled to test this interactive Dobby toy. It worked straight out of the box and didn’t need new batteries. It talks when you press its hand and its eyes, ears, head and arms move. It has a switch on its back that can change the language from English to French which we all found highly amusing (particularly Dobby saying Arry Pottair). Dobby comes with a sock which you can place in his other hand and he recognises that you have given him an item of clothing and that he is free. When he hasn’t been played with for a little while, he will ask if there is anyone around. If he isn’t interacted with after that then he announces he is going to sleep. I thought the kids would get bored of this toy as it only has 35 sayings and doesn’t do much else, but they have really enjoyed role playing with it and have insisted I rate him 5 stars. My personal opinion is that it could do with a volume switch as I find it too loud and annoying. However, it has entertained my children for hours and so I would have to agree with their rating!

Such a well made toy, the creators payed so much attention at every tiny little details . I think every Harry Potter lover would love Dobby . He can move his head, eyes, hands and he talk with the children, very interactive, even in french, which great for young minds, cuz they can learn very easily. My daughter is a big Harry Potter fan, and her favourite character is Dobby! She was over the moon to discover her favourite line of Dobby was one of the phrases said by the toy! “A sock? For Dobby? Thank you, thank you!“. The toy speaks in both English and French, easily changeable by a 3-setting button on the back. Off, French then English. We loved Dobby’s eye movements and hand gestures! The voice is very clear and can be heard well (my daughter and myself are hard of hearing and sometimes interactive toys are very quiet and we struggle to hear what they’re saying!). His head and ears move too, which is so cute. You can remove the sock and place it in Dobby’s hand which he reacts to via a small sensor. The toy is a bit over 20cm tall. This is a brilliant toy for all Harry Potter fans. It will get a lot of fun use in our house. It’s so authentic, that it’s actually magical!
