Women's Donna Ankle Boots - A New Day™ Black

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been needing a new pair of mid height semi dressy black boots to add into my wardrobe. These “Donna” boots from A New Day almost fit the bill perfectly. I saw in other reviews that some said the toe box was surprisingly roomy, however I found it to be tight for me. I normally wear a 9-9.5 in dress shoes, boots 9.5-10 depending on if I want to wear thicker socks or not. These in a 9.5 even with thin socks were too snug in the heel and the toe box for my liking. The heel height is nice, a bit higher than I normally wear, but for a night out would be great. I think they could be dressed up or down easily, and the bootcut jeans I paired with them were perfect. I am wearing a size 9 and this is the size I normally wear. I am used to wearing heels and the block heel height at 3.5 inches provides good stability. They feel initially tight in places and are not comfortable straight away so I am not sure how long I could wear them for. This item Felt true to size and the width Felt too narrow. I love these boots...except, after wearing them, maybe a dozen times, something in both heels seems to have "broken". When I walk on soft surfaces, they click. It's almost like the inner glue is coming apart. When I walk on hard surfaces, no noise. Either way, the sole is barely worn, to prove that there shouldn't be any issues, this early on, with them

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I ordered a size eight in these boots as that is the size I typically wear. The eight fit well, therefore, I believe these fit true to size. You can wear these boots with a pair of jeans, a skirt, or a pair of dress pants. The boots have a zip closure on the inside, and they unzip easily with no issues. They are made of a smooth faux leather and wash up well. The heel of the boot is a 3.5 inch block heel making them easy to walk in. This item Felt true to size and the width Felt true to width. Leather is soft, easy to walk in but could use a little more cushion. I’ll probably get an insert for it!

The heels were thick and blocked which made them easy to get around in. I would definitely wear these for fancier occasions or work. These would be cute with skirts, dresses, or pants. I loved these boots because the heel was very supportive and not too high. The material is high quality and very soft and comfortable on the inside. They were easy to slip on. I liked how high up they came, perfect for seventh eighth length pants. The price was perfect and I love the color they will match everything. Omg these are the most uncomfortable boots I’ve ever worn! I got a Morton’s neuroma from them. Definitely don’t recommend
