Women's Plaid Tie-Waist Midi Dress - kate spade new york x Target Red/Pink/Green/Blue

Cute print runs probably true to size for somebody with a larger bus with a smaller bus. Maybe it’s a little generous. I returned the medium to get the small and when I got the first one, the pattern was sort of a skew so I ordered another one, and I have fingers crossed that this one will be like the medium that I bought, which was perfectly matched up and really cute.

It's difficult for me to review this item because the Target personnel who selected it and shipped it chose one that was ripped in 2 places and missing the tie belt. I returned it but but couldn't offer a replacement so all I can say is the picture looks nice!

Runs large. Reordered a smaller size and was sent a “used” dress with stitching errors. I’ll be returning item.

I have collected Kate Spade for years adoring both the Whimsical style and quality tailoring/workmanship. I adore this KS dress and it works so well with other KS items I already owned. The colors, print, and style are spot on (pockets!) particularly for this price point. The size M was perfect for me as usual thanks to the elastic. Well done and thank you! Thanks to Target. I got nearly the entire line for what I have paid for a single Kate Spade dress in the past!

This dress is cut for a large chested woman. I am a C cup and the top was still flopping all over on me, though the under bust and waist fit just fine. Colors are cute and the fabric was nice, as was the length but this one had to go back.

I like the dress color and material, but quality is lacking. The dress had many uneven stitching on hemline and loose threading. The dress is definitely not worth $40.

This dress looks cute in the photo but is paper thin and very poorly made. Not lined and looks cheap.

Nice dress! Fabric is like a heavy seersucker. Dress is nice quality. Runs big though - especially in the chest area.

I was so disappointed in this dress. It is so cute and I wanted to wear for Easter. I ordered online and upon receiving and trying on, it was impossible to get into my normal size S, without ripping the dress. There is no zipper, only an elastic back. I then ordered a Medium, and I can get into it, but the overall fit is large and sloppy. This dress needs a zipper to fit properly.

I loved my dress but the dress was balled up and stuffed in a small bag. Target sales people are damaging these Kate Spade products with poor packaging!!! My white tote was thrown into a bag and it was stained!!! Great products in this collection but the Target needs to do better.

Huge, poor quality fabric and stitching. I was so excited about this line. I set my alarm for 2:30am to make my purchase, but so disappointed.

As a fan of Kate Spade for decades....quality is lacking. Bigger than normal. Colors looked washed out.

Surprisingly fun and a decent fit with elastic back and adjustable straps. Very preppy look, but will look fresh and cool on a hot day. Hope it washes well.

I was excited to receive this dress but was so disappointed when I took it out of the package. The seam where the bodice attaches to the skirt is sewn so poorly in multiple places. The serging (which should be inside the lining of the bodice) is visible from the outside and the seam is crooked. I had higher expectations from a Kate Spade collaboration. Regular Target brands are much higher quality than this!

I ordered several items from this collab and while many things were misses, this dress was a hit! The fabric is beautiful and lightweight which will be perfect for summer. The colors are gorgeous and can be paired with so many other colors that there are endless options! I could see this dress easily being dressed up for an evening out or worn more casually for a picnic. I wore it for Easter brunch this year and even my husband complimented me on how nice and expensive it looked. Like many items in this collab, I find that this dress runs a little big. I’m usually between a medium and a large and I purchased the medium in this dress, but could have easily gone with a small. If it wasn’t sold out, I might have exchanged for the smaller size. My only complaint is the smocked back on the dress, which so many cheaper clothes are made with these days. However, for the price, this dress is beautifully made and very much worth every penny. I look forward to wearing it all summer!
