Women's Tie-Waist Midi Shirtdress - A New Day™

This is well made dress and a bargain for the price. The fit is like a glove with no alteration needed. I am 5’4” and length hit just below my knees. I looked at a dress for $200 that was not made as well. I purchased the charcoal grey and can be worn throughout the year by simply changing accessories and adding a jacket.

I saw this at the store and thought it was so cute. Like some reviews here said, the fabric was oddly really itchy. The fabric itself felt soft. I was wearing a very lightweight blouse and decided to just throw the dress over my clothes real quick to gauge what size to try on. I barely had it on when I felt this horrible scratchy, prickly, itchy sensation. I was baffled because the fabric doesn't feel that way. It made me feel like fine particles of an irritant (it felt like fiberglass) or a chemical is in the fabric, which may be why it's not itchy to everyone.

Second time wearing dress and it ripped at seam.

Armpits are too large

I was so hopeful for this dress, but it’s not a good fit. First of all, the fabric is way too itchy. As far as the fit goes, it fits well other than the bust. I got an XS (my usual size), & it fit fine everywhere but I couldn’t button the top button. Also, the pockets stick out a bit.

It’s a great fit, I just wish it came in petite. It’s a little long on me.

So flattering and cute..BUT…so darn ITCHY! As other reviews pointed out- the seams are all incredibly itchy. I’m not normally bothered by a slightly “scratchy” fabric, but these seams are beyond itchy and irritating I almost thought I was having an allergic reaction haha. Such a bummer! I’ll be returning this beautiful itchy dress.

Lightweight, comfortable, tailored dress. I purchased in the charcoal gray color. I love the clean look and style of this dress. It fit perfectly and looks nice with a simple pair of sandals. I also really like the softness of the material. Definitely recommend.

Cute, but was missing the belt and the waist is quite high - tough if you’re tall or have a long torso it doesn’t hit quite right

This easy to accessorize basic black tailored dress will be a go to for summer. It's lightly fitted princess seaming is flattering. I love the fabric--it's a lux-ey drapey twill that has a slight crinkle which means that the dress will not show creases. It would travel well. The fabric is light enough for summer but heavy enough not to show through or look flimsy. The fabric belt could be switched out for something more interesting if wanted. One thing to know is that the dress is slightly high-waisted: for me that works great because the skirt/waist seam sits slightly above my waist in the back instead of resting right on top of my "tea cup holders". Very happy with this purchase from Target!

Beautiful dress but it's so itchy! I decided to return it. All the seams itch and ut makes me so sad cause it fit me perfectly.

Runs small in the bust for size medium. Fabric is a little scratchy.

I really like the dress but it run very small. I regular wear a size small in this brand but I have to exchanged for a M while still fitted it look a lot better than a size large on me. Better to buy it at the store when you can try it on.

Very pleasantly surprised by this dress! The fabric is beautiful and it fits great! This will be a great “neutral” for the spring and summer! And you can’t beat the price! 😊

I loved the fit of this dress, but it was SO itchy! I'm usually not sensitive to fabrics, so I looked to see what it's made of and two of the materials are derived from wood pulp(?!). So disappointed. :(

Looks good and fits well, but the material is cheap. I realized it had a tear before I even wore it for the first time. I had already taken off the tags, so I couldn't return it. An easy fix, but still disappointing.

Seems like a nice quality dress. Probably not a great choice for larger chest sizes. I ordered an XS, which I always wear in this brand, but my D sized cups did not fit, I could not button. I am going to return for a small & hope that I can squeeze them in. Fit perfectly everywhere else. For reference, 5’2” 110lbs

Very flattering. Could go down 1 size as the arm holes and bigger than what I would prefer, but fits nicely around my stomach which is where I need the bigger size. Cinches in the waist to give that hour glass shape!
