Women's Velvet Blazer - A New Day™

Pleasant surprise! This is so cute. I can’t handle an uncomfortable blazer, this one wasn’t too tight or boxy. I’m 5’7 150lbs & the medium was a perfect fit.

Love!! It was hard to style at first since it is a long-line blazer. I’m glad I went with my original size. I wear a M. I’m 5’6” about 150-155 lbs. So I would say it fits true to size. It’s a bit loose but a size S would be most likely be too tight. I also have long arms and the sleeve length was perfect for me.

Loved it but the fit was way off. I didn’t want to go up a size because then it would have looked sloppy on me. I compared this to another expensive brand and this one won. Too bad it didn’t fit well on me.

Poor fabric or construction, I can't tell which is worse. It fit perfectly but could not get it to lay flat. Also, very long in the torso so that the first button should have sat about 2.5 inches higher at my waist.

Such a nice feel! Can dress up or dress down.

Great blazer! The green is beautiful and stylish! The fit is comfortable… not too heavy and not too light. It does run big. I’m usually a small and ordered xs.

It is cheap and unstructured.

The color is stunning. Fits true to size. Beautiful, can’t wait to wear it for the holidays

Good fit. I’m usually between a medium and large, and the medium fit perfect in this jacket. Beautiful green color. Great price point. Will be a wardrobe staple over the holidays.

Disappointing. The velvet quality is decent but the fit is terrible. The shoulders were large and made me look like a linebacker. The sleeves were abnormally wide and floppy. Returned.

I am just in love with how beautiful this blazer is. So soft and elegant. Unfortunately, it does not fit the same as other A New Day xs blazers. It is built for someone much narrower in the bust and below. It fits my narrow shoulders better than the non-velvet blazers in this line. However, I am not narrow below the shoulders. 4'8 about 115 lb and most of the weight is in my middle. I couldn't button the jackets without it looking rediculous. I tried to order a S but it was already out of stock and the next size up would probably be too big in the shoulders and too long in the sleeves. Such a shame.

Recieved today. The fabric and quality are disappointing for the price. ( but isn't everything these days) . If you are looking for a velvet blazer that is similar to one that you owned in the 80's you will be sorely disappointed. This is not a jacket or a coat, it is a lined velvet shirt made in the pattern of a blazer. That having been said, I will keep it ONLY because it is very long, and that is difficult to find for someone that is tall. I am 5'10" and the length for me is perfect. If you are of shorter stature you may feel lost in it. It also has a fairly flattering fit due to being tapered at the waist. Would I buy to again? Knowing what I do, not unless it was on sale.

I luv this blazer! I think it runs slightly larger. I got a small and I’m normally a medium. I’m 36D/size 6 and I can button the small and it fits perfectly! Beautiful green color!

It’s a beautiful blazer, perfect for the holidays. It is slim fit which is great (too many boyfriend blazers out there) but the arms fit baggy. I’m 5’0 so the blazer covers my backside which I prefer. Don’t love the shoulder pads which they were removable. The velvet material feels soft, beware it is a bit heavy so if you live in south Florida wear indoors only.

This velvet blazer is so pretty. The fabric is much softer and lighter weight than I expected and the green color is gorgeous. The fit was just wrong on me unfortunately. I got my usual size for this brand, Medium, but the fit of this jacket is a bit too slim for me. Fit perfectly in the shoulders but there is no stretch to the fabric. It looked too snug with the buttons buttoned. It just doesn’t work well if you’re a bit busty. Sizing up to Large I think would be too big in the shoulders. Sadly I’ll be returning it. (For reference I’m 5’1” and about 150 lbs, 36C)

I purchased the brown blazer in a small. Perfect fit. Comfortable, the brown is a rich brown and looks very expensive. Grab it while you can this will not last.

Obsessed with this blazer, but would size down for a more fitted look.
