Women's Balloon Long Sleeve Maxi Shift Dress - Ava & Viv™

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this women's dress in store. This long sleeve dress is sheer with a black slip dress underneath. I really like the look of the white polka dots against the dark black. At first, I thought this would be a great pool cover up. But once I got home and tried it on, I realized how elegant it is. It's a great length (not quite to the floor) and looks beautiful with heels. I chose white to match the polka dots. Don't let the sizing fool you on this. I can normally wear anywear between a small and a medium in dresses and tops, but I like the way the XXL fits. It's a loose fitting dress and the sleeves are meant to balloon out. For someone who is a true XXL, this would be more form fitting, but still comfortable. I would say to size up if you want a looser fit. For the price, it's a beautiful dress that can work year round. I did size up to an XXL which is not my normal size but I also think I could have fit into the XL, which is my normal size. I do plan on taking this on vacation with me as it is very light and airy but still super dressy and can wear it to dinner. This is definitely going to be a staple in my closet. Unfortunately the dress did not fit properly. It was incredibly big on top, but it did fit everywhere else. It has a lining that goes to about the middle of the thigh. Overall the dress probably fits a different body type better and would be comfortable and cute. I received an incentive to write this review.

It has a lining underneath and a long sleeve. It has a keyhole neckline. Really love the white polkadots on the black. It’s very trendy right now. I typically wear a size 14 to a 16. I ordered this and an extra extra large and feel like it fit well so it may run a little small since I tend to wear extra large. I received an incentive to write this review.

I thought it would be great to slip on to head to a pool or a beach. However, I ordered a size XXlarge, which I thought would be close to my typical size and it’s extremely big. Because this dress was straighter than most that I buy, I was sure the 2X would be the right fit for me. I am 5‘11“ tall and was pleasantly surprised at the length of this dress because it was perfect for someone of my height. It consists of a black spaghetti strap slip dress with the polkadot sheer overlay. The polkadot overlay has elastic at each wrist and a little bit at the back of your waist that gives a puckered accent . The bust line is outlined with a seam and there is a cute tie in the center. I feel like I am not filling out the top enough for this dress, but it’s definitely cute and comfortable. It has a slit on the left side on the bottom. I received an incentive to write this review.

The top half of this maxi dress is lined giving you extra coverage where you needed most. I really like the polkadot pattern. It's fun and carefree. This dress also has a side slit. This side slit helps to give the dress a better shape when wearing. Without the side slit for added dimension, I think this dress would appear too frumpy. It did fit me well, but it looked like I was wearing short pants due to the static cling. I do like the internal lining because the main dress itself is see-through. I also like that is mostly made with recycled materials. Even though it is a nice dress, you can still machine wash and dry it. I received an incentive to write this review.

This is a perfect dress to wear into the office or out to dinner. The inner liner is nice and stretchy. The outer material has no stretch. The price and quality of this dress are great. I love the feel and just overall how it makes me look. Black is always a slimming color, but it shapes my body in a good way the slit is adorable and I like the long sleeves.
