The fit is perfect before the wash. But after wash and dry, an entire 2 inches comes off the length. The cut on these pants are actually straight leg and not wide. You just fold them and you see no wide leg. After wash and dry, instead of a long flattering length, the length shortens which will make one appear shorter. This thickness of the material also gets bulky in the mid section, and if you are pear shaped, this is not the area that you need to emphasize. The waist band is too thin, so it cuts in just like underwear with a thin elastic and there is no way to mask it. They needed to prewash the fabric, make a larger waist elastic, thin the material instead of gathering at the waist with so many stitches, then give a true wide leg. The material itself is not as soft or thick as sweatshirt material. For this reason, the material doesn't hang because it doesn't have the weight. The price point of 25 is over the top. Don't dress frumpy ladies. I am 5'9" just over 200 pounds and 55. 5'11 with tennis shoes. I wish I could keep these but have to return because of the shrinkage after wash. My lifestyle and space in the city isn't going to let these air dry either. I had 2 young people advice me no, return them. Why Target doesn't make more black clothing or pants or workout pants in the plus section is sad.

Seemed like good quality but returned because inside was scratchy, not soft. May soften after washing but returned. Tried 2 colors, both identical in size and fabric. True to size.

These sweatpants are the perfect length... until you wash them. They shrank in the wash and now they look like highwaters on me lol. Same thing happened with matching swearshirt. I wish these came pre-shrunk! Maybe it won't be as bad if you air-dry them.

These pants shrink to about an inch or more shorter after the first wash. I would have appreciated if these could have come preswashed so the length that you receive is the length the pants will actually be. It’s tough to find 100% cotton wide leg sweatpants so I was really excited about these. I don’t want this review to influence Target to not make pants in this style. I love this style but the execution was poor. I’m normally a size 14/16 in jeans and I’m above average height for a woman so I ordered sizes L-XXL to try on. They all fit me decently well but I went with the XXL because I wanted that big pants effect. Unfortunately the shrinkage made the pants look very different than when I tried them on. These pants also don’t look very wide when you’re wearing them. Something about the way they’re cut makes the wide leg only appear from side angles and not front on. I didn't read the full description, wish the French terry part had been in the title because if it had I wouldn't have ordered for the winter. These are lightweight sweatpants

I love these!!!! I am a curvy girl and finding pants is hard sometimes so I was surprised by how much I love these pants. I sized down and they’re still baggy enough but not too tight. I want to back for more colors

I washed it once and it shrank. I’m 5’8 and got a medium. When I tried it on at the store the pants touched the floor. Now after one wash they barley go pasts my ankle.

i'm 5'7 and when i tried them on they were long and fit perfect, down to the floor with shoes on. after i washed them they shrunk past my ankles. super disappointing as now i cant wear them

These pants are really BIG ! .....in the waist and the length and the width of the leg. But they are very comfortable. And they have pockets. I was worried they might shrink a lot with washing and drying. But no they are still big. And still very comfortable. These will be my winter go to in the house pants. Great for curling up and yet you can answer the door and look presentable.

They are really comfortable and I love the wide leg but really wish they were longer. I’m 5’7 purchased a medium and they are a bit short. I’ll keep the pair I have but wouldn’t purchase other colors.

I'm 5'6", 125# and these are too long for me. The fabric is 100% cottton but the overall cut is not flattering. The fabric is thin cotton material, high rise and very generous from thigh to cut. I don't have issues with wide leg pants looking frumpy, however, these are not it.

These are so close to being the perfect wide leg sweats, but the pockets are weirdly shallow. My phone technically fits, but can easily fall out if I'm not careful. Otherwise, they're the perfect fit and length (120 lbs, 5'6.5" with slightly shorter legs, bought black XS ), and the fabric drapes nicely.

These are the comfiest sweatpants I’ve ever owned! I’m 5’5 155 lbs with longer/thicker legs and typically “regular” length pants are way too short and cut off above the ankle. These don’t! They are long enough and so comfy. Great for the long leg girlies :)

I was hesitant to buy these. I don't typically find wide leg sweats to be very flattering on my body type. I'm 5'7", approximately 135-137 pounds, with a waist that is about a size smaller than my hips and butt. I typically wear a size 26 jeans. Because of the width of my thighs and butt, most wide leg sweats don't gracefully fall on that area, but cling and make me look like a huge box. These, however, are completely different. I was pleasantly surprised that they hit just right in all the right areas and were quite flattering. For reference, I bought a size small. If I had sized up to a medium to accomodate my hips and butt, these would be oversized in a frumpy way, not a cute way.
