Q: Why is the women’s more expensive than the men’s if they have the same ingredients?

submitted by Just me - 3 months ago
  • A: Hi, while the two products have the same FDA approved active and inactive ingredient, each product was supported by unique clinical studies so the FDA reviewed and approved product labeling differs to provide information appropriate to each, e.g. different product safety/warning information, and to ensure safe and effective product use. One specific difference in labeling is dosage: Men’s Rogaine® Foam should be applied twice daily, while Women’s Rogaine® Foam should be applied just once daily. There are also differences in product application instructions that are necessary because typical hair loss patterns differ between men and women.

Q: Sometimes after bathing my hair is damp but I did not wash it. Is it ok to blow dry my hair or use a curling iron if I have already used the product in my hair.

submitted by Gwen - 5 months ago
  • A: Thank you for reaching out. Yes, you can continue your regular styling routine. Blow dry at a low setting as to not overheat the hair. Apply Rogaine first and wait for it to dry before applying your styling products.

Q: What do you mean by "Women's formulations are formulated for Female genetics" More specifics. I can't find a picture of the back of the men's/women's boxes online so can't compare them.

submitted by Californian - 1 year ago
  • A: Great question! Men’s Rogaine® Foam and Women’s Rogaine® Foam have the same FDA-approved active and inactive ingredients, but one important distinction is their FDA approvals. Each product was supported by unique clinical studies so the FDA reviewed and approved product labeling differs to provide information appropriate to each, e.g. different product safety/warning information, and to ensure safe and effective product use.
